Whole House Water Filtration Systems

Whole house treatment goes in where the water line enters the house, so every tap, the water heater and the appliances get treated water. For hard water, a water softener takes care of that. On a well, UV light filtration treats what a filter can't catch, and Joe includes one bulb replacement in the first year.

City water and well water need different treatment, so the test comes first and decides the equipment. We install water treatment in Springfield, Strafford, Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Rogersville, Willard, Battlefield, Marshfield and Fair Grove.

What We Install

  • Water softeners (30,000 grain) that take the hardness out where the water comes in, so fixtures stop crusting and appliances last longer. We install A. O. Smith and Sterling. More on water softeners.
  • Reverse osmosis systems at the kitchen sink. RO clears up taste and odor and takes out the stuff you'd rather not drink. It feeds the faucet you fill glasses from. More on reverse osmosis systems.
  • UV light filtration, mostly on well systems, to treat what a filter can't catch. It's popular here because so much of the Ozarks runs on well water. Joe includes one bulb replacement in the first year.
  • Treatment picked for your water. In the Ozarks, minerals are usually the first thing we treat. City water and well water need different treatment, so Joe tests your water before he recommends anything.

Hard Water in the Ozarks

The Ozarks sit on limestone, and water that runs through limestone comes out hard. That hardness leaves white crust on fixtures and spots on glasses, and the sediment it drops shortens the life of water heaters around here. Is Springfield tap water safe?
Municipal water here is treated and monitored. Safety is a separate question from taste and hardness. Filtration changes how the water tastes in your food and coffee and what it does to your appliances. If you're on a private well, Joe tests the water before he picks any equipment.
Will RO fix my spotted glasses and crusty faucets?
Not by itself. RO treats the water you drink at one tap. Spots and scale come from hardness in all the water the house uses, and that takes treatment where the water comes in. We'll look at your setup and tell you whether you need RO, a softener or both.
We're on a well. Different story?
Usually, yes. Well water around here can carry more minerals, so we check what's in it before we pick equipment. Lots of properties around Strafford and Rogersville run on wells, and we do this work often.
